Back Storage Room
With the state this room is in we don’t allow visitors to walk through it. If you visit us and are interested in viewing it from the doorway please speak to a volunteer so we can ensure everyone’s safety.

During it’s operational days as an inn this room acted as the women’s dormitory. It wasn’t often that women would travel alone or without a large family trailing behind so this room is smaller than the men’s bedroom across the hall.

In 1938 when the Rankin sisters ran the Green Acres tea room, this room was used as a bathroom. There was once plumbing installed in the building but it was removed due to lead in the pipes.

As of 2025, this is the only remaining room with wallpaper on the walls and ceiling. The rest of the rooms have been stripped down to their original state.
