Parlour Room
Our parlour room was restored in 2022, find more information about the restoration process here.
When guests would arrive on their stagecoaches or carriages they would wait in here to be attended to by the Fryfogel family or their employees. Additionally, this room would similarly work as a living room for the women and children while the men would escape to the Tavern to drink.
The wainscoting around the room was all hand-painted, originally and was replicated by our local artist, Emily Coyne, during our restoration work. It was much cheaper and easier to get a painter to recreate the look as opposed to installing real wainscoting. We managed to preserve some panels on the inner wall of the building so visitors can still see the original pieces.
